Transnational Kick Off Meeting BEYOND CAPITAL

On 7 July, CBE attended the first meeting of the Beyond Capital project.

The meeting was hosted by the Maltese-Italian Chamber of Commerce, at their premises in Valletta.

The meeting was attended by all project partners: Italian Chamber of Commerce in Malta, Malta Stock Exchange plc, Exeo Lab Srl, Geoinnova, Synthesis, The European Center for Social Finance.

The Beyond Capital project aims to reduce the risk of failure of social economy start-ups. The project supports social entrepreneurs and managers in developing sound financial planning. Furthermore, the project disseminates an in-depth knowledge of financial and banking market instruments, which offer answers to the specific needs of social enterprises and non-profit organisations.

 

During the meeting, the project partners shared the results of the six focus groups conducted as part of the state-of-the-art analysis of social economy start-ups. The next objectives were also defined, including the development of the structure of the training modules and the decision on the next transnational meeting to be held in Cyprus next November.
