Collaboration between the Province of Sondrio and CBE: New Opportunities for the Territory

The Province of Sondrio and CBE join forces to facilitate access to European funds

The Province of Sondrio takes a significant step towards local development thanks to a new collaboration with Coopération Bancaire pour l’Europe (CBE). The agreement, which was recently signed by the President of the Province, Davide Menegola, and the President of CBE GEIE, Mario Erba, aims to improve access to European funding for local authorities, businesses, and associations in Valtellina.

Concrete support for local growth

The European Union offers numerous funding opportunities for local development projects, but accessing these resources requires specific skills and an adequate network of contacts. For this reason, the Province of Sondrio has set up the Europe Office, an initiative established a year ago to provide support in the search for and management of EU funds. Thanks to this new collaboration with CBE, the Europe Office will be able to strengthen its activities and offer even more effective help to local actors.

One of the main actions under the agreement concerns the dissemination of information on European calls for proposals. CBE will provide monthly updates on the most relevant funding opportunities for the territory, with a focus on the sectors of agriculture, the third sector and entrepreneurship. In addition, webinars and training meetings will be organised to help local administrators, businesses and associations to better understand the dynamics of Europlanning and to submit winning proposals.

In addition to providing information and facilitating contacts, CBE will concretely support the Province of Sondrio in the search for the funding opportunities best suited to local needs, analysing the different possibilities offered by European programmes, and helping entities and enterprises to develop projects consistent with EU guidelines. The objective is to translate ideas and territorial needs into concrete and competitive proposals, maximising the chances of success in applying for funds.

This collaboration represents a unique opportunity for the Province of Sondrio. As underlined by President Menegola, the agreement with CBE will help bridge the gap between the territory and European institutions, offering local realities effective tools to access EU resources. Mario Erba, President of CBE EEIG, also expressed enthusiasm for the initiative, emphasising the importance of creating synergies to foster local development.

Thanks to this convention, Valtellina will be able to strengthen its role within the European Union, promoting innovative and sustainable projects capable of improving the quality of life of citizens and giving new impetus to the local economy.
