CBE acts as a bridge between the EU and Italian entrepreneurs by providing information, guide and support in accessing EU funding and taking advantage of other opportunities offered in the context of the EU. Furthermore, CBE assists its member banks in becoming intermediaries for EIB and EIF funded financial instruments (InnovFin, etc). CBE aims at developing its competencies in the aforementioned sectors and provide innovative services to its members. The project’s activities would strengthen CBE’s position as a “bridging partner” for Small and Medium Enterprise in Italy and enable us to involve medium sized banks in the delivery of access to finance opportunities.
The project objectives and expected results are in line with the mission and activities of CBE’s associated banks, with particular regards to their commitment to their local environment, businesses and communities.
CBE has strong expertise in assessing Business plans and models, assessing project bankability and defining financial instruments to support innovative projects. Moreover, CBE can support training in business development and financial instruments fields; and disseminate project results in Italy and Brussels.
CBE will act as an intermediary between its members and associates and the world of innovative investment tools by placing the latter in a European-wide framework, facilitating synergies between the main actors in the context of access to alternative forms of finance for SMEs. The role of CBE will help increase the awareness of financial institutions to better understand the range of new financing and investment tools along with an enhanced capacity of risk assessment toward innovative business.
